Clash Of The Titans Deluxe Perseus Costume, Gray, X-Large - 1.8 out of 5 stars from 12 customer reviewsTerrible cheap costume
Oh wow...this is one of the worst costumes I think I've ever bought. It's going back promptly. First off for [...] bucks, I'd expect something of some sturdiness...it's not...it's very cheap material and I think I'd probably rip it out as soon as I wore it around anywhere.
The arm guards and shin guards are OK, but you can do better for much much cheaper. They're also made for someone much bigger than I am...I'm 5'11" and 180...I'm on the lean side of an athletic build and both the shin guards and arm guards will have to be re-sewn for me to wear them properly. As of now they just slip off.
Finally, there's the actual main piece. It's cheap fabric. The chest guard is made of flexible rubber that doesn't lay right (You have to adjust the collar of your 'armor' to get it to lay flat constantly).
All in all, don't buy. You can piece this together on your own for much cheaper.
Tricked ya!
If they would have even spent [...] bucks in material to make the costume, then it could have turned out perfect.
First off I'd like to start by saying there isn't a back piece, there is just a small piece of velcro at the top. This leaves a nice chunk of the middle of your back exposed. It looks presentable from the front, but when you turn around it looks like you are wearing a 15 dollar costume. The skirt is made out of the foam that you would find in a speaker, and is therefore very stiff. Also each section is EXTREMELY spaced out, and doesn't look presentable at all. The forearm guards might as well be thigh guards, because I only got them to stay on by putting them near the top of my forearm, when they clearly are supposed to fit for the bottom.
Second, the tunic underneath, yeah, the greenish brown/dirty brown (whatever you wanna call the color in the picture) its green, and by green, I mean a well kept lawn green. This costume was such a bomb, and so...
Not what's in the picture
WAY larger than in the photo - like a great big dress.
Materials all completely different - underneath garment is a cheap, thin green cloth.
Brown triangular fabric over skirt portion is also a cheap thin brown material.
Arm armour is very small compared to photo - more like an awkward elbow pad.
All in all, required many modifications to make it work.
