I got these because I was (duh) throwing together a costume for our local Renn Fest. I got the extra large because while I'm not fat, I'm not necessarily the smallest guy, and I wanted to have some bagginess and room. Even so, the extra large fit well in the waist (were even a bit big), but were REALLY short. I mean, they only came to just below my knees, and I'm 6'1".
So, these might work for someone that's Hobbit size a bit better, or if you have full out knee high boots. My boots came to mid-shin and I could BARELY tuck in the pants, let along blouse them.
The material overall is about what you'd expect for a costume shop; not necessarily great, but workable and decent enough for a costume. It was actually quite breathable, and the pants overall were comfortable. Just too dang short.
I kept them anyway, mainly because if I ever have to work in a flood they'll be perfect.
Renaissance costume
Arrived promptly. They fit a 6' teen comfortably. The fabric did not stand up to a whole day participation of the faire. The inner seam shredded before the end of an active day.
Thin and Scratchy
The pants are thin and scratchy, but I was not surprised since they were so cheap. The pants are still okay for a Halloween costume, but would not recommend for someone wanting to wear them all day at a Ren fair.
