
Past the Point of No Return
I purchased this at the last minute to complete a Phantom of the Opera costume (I already had my own tuxedo from my senior prom), after searching through literally DOZENS of such capes on Amazon. There's a reason this one has the most positive reviews. Certainly, it suffices. However, there are a few things buyers might want to know:
Firstly, the described length is deceiving. I suspect that the given measurement of 45 inches is made from the top of the hood down. The cape itself, measured from the seam at the neck down is approximately 38 inches, just a bit below my knees. This is a good length for me, but if you want something longer, go for the full-length version of this same cape; I suspect it will be of equal quality with more length.
Secondly, any reports of the tie at the neck being too small for an adult neck are totally incorrect (there aren't actually any such reports on this particular cape, but such a complaint appeared frequently enough on other...
My son loves this but....
one of the ties tore off very quickly. The cloak is made of a very thin and cheap material, so sewing it back on will probably tear the cloak. I'm very disappointed and would not buy this again.
Volturi
My daughter used this cape to be Jane Volturi for Halloween. She is in middle school and it was the perfect length and very economical compared to other Volturi options.
