got this to go w/ a halloween costume. the rosary beads are wood but the cross is plastic. i just made a wood cross 'n threw some lacquer on it and replaced the plastic one.
I Think You Get a Bit MORE Than You Paid For
I purchased three of these beauties for costume purposes at under five bucks a pop, and for that price, I was quite surprised at the quality. The beads are wooden and good sized, held together by what looks like the same stuff used to make those leather shoelaces you never see anymore. The cross is plastic with a "woodgrain" finish, and the thing is big enough to put round a fat waist (you'd have to fiddle with it--perhaps fashion some sort of clasp-- to make it stay, unless you were quite chunky) or wear round your neck. So, if you want a large, obvious cross to top off your monk or nun costume, look no further--this is the best bang for your buck, right here.
