I purchased this for a special needs 6th grader in need of a costume. I had it hemmed to fit the child and also had a 21" length zipper put in place of the velcro tabs located in the back of the costume for a finished look. The mustache had to be trimmed to fit the individuals face. This was not a problem. The student really loved the costume and was very happy to walk around showing it off during the school parade. The quality of the fabric will last a few Halloweens.
Good, but needs small improvements.
Ordered this and wore it for Halloween 2010. My friend ordered the matching Luigi costume. The material is very thin and stretchy. There are small pieces of velcro on the back to keep the costume shut. It certainly doesn't cover everything, so you have to wear a red shirt that blends, which sucks cause I have a great Mario shirt that I wanted to wear, but its green so it would have looked bad (and it didn't match Luigi). There are also no pockets, which was majorly annoying because you have to undo the velcro to get to the pockets of your clothing underneath.
For reference, I am 6-1, and was a beefy 300 lbs. The costume was wide enough, but it certainly needs to be taller. My friend is about an inch taller than me and he kept complaining about the costume riding up the nether regions.
Also - the mustache was annoying. Would recommend buying a better one that sticks without feeling weird.
Try to get this one on sale! Have fun rescuing your Princess...
