Best (movie based) costume i own..
This is a must have for any Hellraiser fan, or fan of horror films.. The detail is incredible.. The costume is very well made, and I believe it will stand up to the test of time.. I bought the mens large costume, mostly because at the time of purchase it was the only size available.. I'm 5ft 9, and it is huge on me.. But being a collector, it was intended to be worn on a mannequin. So now there's Pinhead standing in my man cave. Couldn't be happier.
When it arrived, I was first impressed by the fact that it was packed on a clothing hanger in a zip up suit bag..
Which will be great for storage.. But there was a slight problem.. At the bottom of the suit bag, is a partition that held the Pinhead overhead mask.. It's a big overhead mask in a tiny pocket... I played Hell (no pun intended) getting the mask out. And due to it's tight confines, the mask was wadded up, and a good portion of pins were broken.. Thankfully for me, I'd just bought a PInhead mask from a costume shop,...

Not too shabby, but not worth the price
The Clive Barker Deluxe Hell Raiser Pin Head Costume has good and bad qualities. I'm very pleased with the deluxe robe and gloves! The material is sturdy as is the zipper. And I like that the material isn't just flat black, but has a great texture to it. One of the better quality Hell Raiser Robes I've seen!

The mask, on the other hand is disappointing. The 'pins' are not aligned vertically - they're kind of placed willy nilly. The mouth and teeth look very odd to me as well. In my opinion, the mask doesn't resemble Pin Head. The person I purchased this for agrees & will attempt to adhere 'pins' with liquid latex in lieu of using the mask.

Not quite sure if this deluxe set is worth the price, considering the robe is awesome and the mask is lacking....Guess it depends on what you're looking for.

Excellent costume set!
No doubt you've read the other reviews so you know what you are getting yourself into. As such I will simply add my opinions on the robe and mask and leave it at that.

THE ROBE

Pros:

-Excellent look
-With minor cosmetic changes can look very realistic and can enhance the already horrific look it inspires
-Comes with matching gloves, as shown in the picture, which helps complete the look

Cons:

-Be careful to select the proper sized robe. This may go without saying but work with me on this. I wear large sized shirts but, when I purchased a large robe, it was too large. So, when in doubt, go one size smaller than the shirt you wear (at least in my case).
-Some of the rubberized components could have used more detail but again with very little imagination and creativity this is easily remedied.
