I liked the look of this product and the feel was nice as well. The craftsmanship was good compared to most costumes you find at the stores. The only issue I had with this product was the sizing. "one size fits most adults" is not a proper sizing tool and did not work in my case. I am of average height. I am slim muscular build and the top part of the costume didn't come down to my waist. It should have not only come to my waist but provided some overlap with the pants.
All in all the costume will be okay if you are shorter, then the pants may be a little long, or if you find a shirt that is a close match to the costume so you can blend the mid section.
Please put a real sizing chart or measurements on the page.Great Lion Guy Costume
Bought this for my 18 yr old son who had to be a lion for spirit week, but didn't want to look "dumb" or "cheesy" or feel miserable. He was very happy with Macho Lion. Comfortable and looks as cool as you can in a lion suit! lol. He is 6 ft tall, muscular and lean. It fit great.Great lion costume

The mad scientist costume is truly maddening! I am using it for the Monster Mash song in a variety show. Instead of the hyper needle, I am using a bubble gun that jolts the monsters wtih bubbles instead of electrodes. Should be very funny!!!!This set was awesome!
Loved the jacket and the wig that came with it. Very cool look and pretty good quality material. I was afraid of it being too hot, but was able to wear it all night and not get uncomfortable. Fun costume!Functional
Overall the costume is as advertised. I purchased the XL version.
The headpiece is a flexible plastic/rubber with fake hair in two pieces on each side. It uses elastic to hold it in place. A little tight but I have a large head.
The gloves are are a poly stretch material and rather cheap looking (did not use them as they were ill fitting.)
The smock is just that. A pull over smock with printed decals. It fit fine and was fairly true to size (I have 46 inch shoulders and it was just big enough to allow movement).
It sufficed for my purposes and time constraints, but you could easily assemble a better version of this by picking up individual items (wig, gloves smock/lab coat) and building it yourself.> Click to See Editorial Reviews

I have not been to a costume party/dinner for many years so when the opportunity arose this past Halloween, I said to myself "Why not?". I looked around for ideas and even went to a large local costume store plus a lot of on-line shopping. Everything I looked at seemed flimsy, especially the ones I tried on at the local shop. I settled on this one because it advertised as being a true X-large size (I'm a 48 chest) and the ones at the local shop were all too tight. I am really glad I made this selection. When it arrived and I opened the heavy box, I was pleasantly surprised. For just over $30, the costume was made of substantial material with detailed and realistic trimmings including the built-in velvet mantel.....I did add (at some additional cost)a hood and a half-face mask from another source to complete the look I wanted. (total outlay around $50) I wore black sandals from my existing shoes to finish things off. This costume is warm worn over even light clothing. Might be too...nicely designed
Very nice costume and nice heavy material as well so you are definitely getting your moneys worth for it. Very authentic, I went to a party with it and the party was in a non heated garage and everyone was cold but I was not cold at all it was very comfortable and also works great for hiding beers in your long sleeves. I got this costume on sale at a local Spencer's Gifts years ago. The robe fabric is surprisingly heavy (not paper-thin and flimsy that exposes you in the wrong places), and the top part is an equally heavy velvet. The elbows have an elasticity around them which enables the lower, draping arm sleeve to hang right. I had to buy this costume from BrandsOnSale because it was the only place online having it in stock. The price was $120, while all stores online sold it for ~$50.
The costume doesn't really look like in the picture, and the vinyl of the gauntlets and helmet smells like hell.Kinda akward, but Spartan approved
First of all I have to say i'm a fan of the movie and man, it was awesome. Now upon looking at the picture of this costume, I was dissapointed on how it was made. It totally looks toga like or romanish, but nevertheless I wanted it. I believe this one is the deluxe version. I wanted this one cause it had the shin guards unlike the regular costume. Now when I got it the armor including the helmet was all mad from vinyl. They have that spandex thing on them, so any person would have no problem putting them on. The helmet also has it to, to make the helmet look tight on your head. It's comfortable and it doesn't bother your neck. Also about the helmet it's kinda floppy just any ordinary halloween mask, but as you put it on it takes shape. Now the main part of the costume, it's really much silk like but soft too. I recommmend you put it on carefully cause it's kinda thin you know. I have not torn mine, but i just wanna let you know. When it's on there's a part in the back where you have...Cheap, uncomfortable, smelly
Everything is made of rubber. Does not look good, is not comfortable and smells like rubber bands.

Overall a good value, costume is a little thin and one size fit all is kind of vague, I am 5'9 and 180 and it fits ok, anyone taller might find it a little short. As far as the animation mask, it is a little stiff, you really have to open your mouth to get it to move but it is very easy to see out of, And the gloves are a nice touch.Nice set but some issues
I loved this for the most part. The mask works how it is supposed to. There is a catch. Half of the upper lip was not attached to the plastic piece that raises the upper lip to give the mouth moving effect. I was expecting this, based on other reviews, so I just bought some rubber cement to fix the issue. I wrapped blue masking tape around the mask over the glued lip to hold the lip down until dry and now it works fine. The costume was nice except the white hands have squared off finger tips. I didn't care for that. Looked kind of cheesy. This set has its flaws but good costume overall.don't bother
In the process of getting the foam inserts in the mask it broke (ones that allow it to fit to your face). The parts that allow the face to move are cheap plastic and after opening and closing the mouth a few time they will all break. its a shame, this is a very cool idea and has some good potential, but they cheaped out on a few of vital parts that make this mask unique.> Click to See Editorial Reviews

Just a few suggestions is to invest in some tights of your own, and buy green tennis shoes or elf slippers. A green eye mask also makes this costume look great, and don't forget to carry a small flashlight to give your where abouts the true feeling of a tinkerbell spotlight nearby, floating in the air behind you. Great ropes for belt, and chest shirt opening. A harmless plastic dagger might also complete the all around look. The costume hat fits just right, and looks great with no trouble. I think that shows that the costume is great! It has everything you need to be DJ Lance and the fit was great. My husband has a 30 inch waist, so the small wasn't SKIN TIGHT on him the way DJ Lance has it on the show (which was a good thing).

Not only has my 2-1/2 yr old daughter not stopped referring to me as "Yo Dada-dada" or "DJ Rance Locks" (she is only 2) since I surprised her at Halloween with this costume (and the rest of the family), but I also won runner-up in my company Halloween costume contest (to my total surprise) and won a $50 gift cert which paid for this costume plus a nice bottle of wine to celebrate! I'm 6'2" and 210 lbs and the Large fit me perfectly. Was surprisingly warm for how thin it feels but i still ended up wearing a thin base layer under the costume when we went out trick-or-treating.Good Buy!

Okay, first off, I did like the costume, don't get me wrong. If you need it for a party, then it is okay. If you're doing something for the civil war though like a play or a reenactment, I would not recommend this costume. The color in the picture shows a dark blue, which is what the Union wore during the civil war, but the actual costume is light blue.
