My husband is 5'9" and 185 lbs. We ordered a Small for him since that's all that was available at the time, and it fit perfectly. No alterations necessary. This costume is a little pricey in my opinion, but the fabric looks nice and wears comfortably. We bought a toy samurai sword to complete the look.
It is just okay.
Value wasn't horrible and no local costume shops offered Samurai costumes. I ordered the largest size since I am a plus size. The pants have a cheap small waste line and the thigh area is going to give you no room. I ended up ripping some seems the first night I wore them. Getting in and out of the car with the narrow pant was a issue, but it was my issue. Good thing is the robe covered the tightness around my thighs and the busted seems.
I also felt the graphic on the robe was more of a Chinese style dragon.
